If you have been driving in Brick lately, you've noticed plenty of construction happening at the intersection of Route 88 and Route 70. That's the old site of the Jersey Paddler.

I have always been wondering what is being built there, and I'm surprised I didn't know until now because I'm usually on top of these things.

The construction at the site is happening for Royal Farms Gas and Market.

According to Shorebeat:

Crews over the past several weeks have torn down the building following the dissolution of Jersey Paddler in 2016 and an approval in 2018 to build a Royal Farms gas station and market store. Royal Farms, ubiquitous in Maryland and Virginia, has been making inroads in the South Jersey market for several years, providing competition to regional staples Wawa and QuickChek.

I have never been to a Royal Farms, so I decided to check them out. Besides gas, they have food! Lots of food! Good looking food. This place could be a game-changer!!

And supposedly they are famous for their fried chicken...I'm in!

No word on when construction will be completed.
