This coming Tuesday, April 1st,  a Ronnie James Dio compilation album hits stores. Rock & roll royalty have all signed on to be a part of this amazing tribute. Bands like Metallica, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Motorhead and Anthrax have all recorded their versions of Dio classics.    Songs from Ronnie's entire library including Elf, Rainbow, Sabbath and his solo tracks have all been represented on the compilation. The album is a touching tribute to a man who gave us so many timeless classics to the world of heavy metal.

If you're a die hard Dio fan like myself and cannot wait to hear some of the tributes, here are a few of the tracks have made their way onto YouTube prior to the album's release. Earlier this week, the Hawk's own Andy Chase previewed Metallica's amazing Ronnie James Dio medley that they created for the album. Below are a few of the tracks to wet your appetite before Tuesday's release.

All proceeds from the album will go to benefit the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.  You can pre-order the album by clicking here.

Corey Taylor - "Rainbow in the Dark"

Halestorm - "Straight Through the Heart"

Tenacious D - "The Last in Line"
