These three classic rock artists celebrate their New Year's Eve birthdays today.

Aerosmith's bass player, Tom Hamilton, was born December 31, 1951 in Colorado.

He's no doubt enjoying some down time after a long stint on the road with his band in 2014.

Aerosmith toured North America with Slash (along with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators) in the summer of 2014, which followed a 17-date European tour that the bad boys from Boston took from May 14 to July 2. The North American tour, known as the Let Rock Rule Tour, sent Aerosmith to 21 locations from July 10 to September 12.

Asked in last May if Aerosmith will release a sixteenth studio album anytime soon, Hamilton replied, "I hope soon. But I really don't know what we are doing because we no longer have a record contract. We are finished with Columbia. So, there is nothing written in stone. We'll see what the fans want."

Also celebrating a birthday today is Andy Summers of The Police, who was born December 31, 1942 in Lancashire, England.

Summers is busy these days with his new band, Circa Zero, which he debuted in 2013.

Andy Summers has teamed up with singer songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist producer Rob Giles (The Rescues) to form Circa Zero a band poised to blow people away with its unique brand of rock and roll intensity.

The band released their first album last March.

Here's a taste of the group:

And former lead singer, songwriter, and keyboardist of The Guess Who, Burton Cummings, was born on December 31, 1947 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

He is touring solo these days and according to a fan's review of a concert in St. Charles, Illinois in November, he has the ability to still put on a solid show:

"I have seen Burton before but last night's concert reminded me of the days that we all remember when Rock was Rock. Burton and his band members put on a performance that I did not want to end. Burton sang Guess Who's hits after hits without missing a beat. Thanks Burton for an amazing evening."
