As of this writing, there are only forty-two days until Christmas 2020.

It's hard to think what Christmas in New York City will be like this year with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic affecting businesses nationwide, but especially in New York City with the Big Apple being the forefront of the Christmas season.

Regardless of COVID-19, one thing that we all know and love is returning to New York City once again...The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree...It's an 89-year-old tradition!!!

This year's tree is coming from Daddy Al's General Store in Oneonta, New York, and the tree stands approximately seventy-five feet tall.

The tree is expected to arrive in New York City on Saturday, November 14th.

According to Rockefeller Center:

There will be no public access to this year’s tree lighting ceremony, however you’re invited to view the live national broadcast “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” from home on NBC. Details about how to visit the lit Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be announced in the coming weeks.

The tree will be lit on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 7 p.m

I love Christmas in New York City. I love the hustle and bustle of people shopping. New York City goes all out with lights and decorations during the holiday season. It is a great place to be this time of year.

My friends and I make a trip to the city every year to go to Bryant Park Holiday Market, to see the tree, and to bar hop. Unfortunately, it won't be happening this year.

Just another reason 2020 sucks!!

Things will be different in New York City during the holidays, but our safety and health are most important.
