PETA Thinks The Seaside Cats Are Better Off Dead

We recently told you about the battle between the Seaside Heights Animal Welfare Organization and the Seaside Town Council.

SHAWO has been caring for numerous cats around the Seaside boardwalk, setting up shelters and feeding stations. They have also been participating in a TNR program (Trap, Neuter, Release) and have taken care of over 300 cats.

That TNR program has drawn an unsolicited letter from the people at PETA, which you can read below.

This is absurd, and one of the main reasons I loathe PETA. Quotes like "euthanasia is the most humane option" is what takes them from having a legit point of view to sounding like monsters. They can cite whatever studies they want, which is obviously just going to be countered with stats that show SHAWO's plan is working. But when "ethical treatment" becomes synonymous with "killing", they just go off the deep-end.
