New Jersey has a rich diner history, and seeing how we're the diner capital of the country it makes sense that we're also home to the oldest diner in America.

Jersey has a ton of great diners, and you can grab a bite to eat at places like Tops Diner, the Harrison House in Mullica Hill, The Rainbow Diner, and the Brick Diner, which are all classics.

But none of them get to hold the title of oldest diner in the Garden State.

You may be thinking to yourself that the Dumont Crystal Diner is the oldest in Jersey, and you wouldn't be too far off.

So what's Jersey's oldest diner?

New Jersey's Oldest Diner Is Only 20 Years Old, How?

The old train car though, the Blue Comet, that the diner operates out of however was built in 1927, which technically makes the Clinton Station Diner the oldest diner in New Jersey.

Is it a technicality? Of course, but it's still a fun part of New Jersey's rich diner history.

By the way, if you need some late-night eats, these NJ diners are still open 24/7.
