MANCHESTER – In a report released last month by safewise.com, Manchester Township ranks as one of the 100 Safest Cities in the United States.

Periodically, safewise.com complies a list of the 100 safest cities in the United States of America and in the most recent edition that was posted on March 14th, multiple towns throughout the Garden State have been made the list, including Manchester that came in at #67.

In fact, New Jersey has the biggest chunk of towns listed, "30% of America’s 100 safest cities are in New Jersey." the website says. It goes on to mention that 16 of the cities that are listed made the list last year, five of which are in New Jersey.

The website takes property crime, violent crime, and median income into account when compiling the list of cities.

Manchester Township and one other small town in California are the only cities listed that is below the national median income of $57,652.
