The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce released a list of tons of fall festivals and Halloween events happening in and around Long Beach Island.

October 13-14 - Ship Bottom hosts the 19th Annual Haunted Hayride around Waretown Lake.

October 14 - Stafford Township's annual Fall Festival features hayrides, scarecrows, crafts and vendors, live music, and more.

October 21 - Magical Max's Night Of Illusions at the Stafford Township Arts Center.

October 26,27,28 - Tuckerton Seaport becomes the Haunted Seaport, with pirates and sea captains strolling the area. It also features a pumpkin patch, story time for the kids, and maybe an appearance by the Jersey Devil himself.

October 27-28 - Operation Halloween at the Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation in Brookville. It's a free trick-or-treat walk, hay maze, face painting, magic shows, pumpking painting, and more. There's even a "non-scare" hayride for the little ones.

October 28 - TRUNK-OR-TREAT at the Surf City Volunteer Fire Company.

October 29 - Lacey Chamber sponsors Halloween face-painting and tattoos at the Gille Park parking lot.
