April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and on Friday night at First Energy Park in Lakewood, at the home of the BlueClaws, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office along with Tina's House and the Saint Francis Counseling Center held an educational event where they stepped up to the plate against Sexual Violence.

The event featured educational and health care resources for victims and people who know someone affected by sexual violence.

It was as much educational as it was providing a friendly ear to someone struggling in the aftermath of an attack and letting them know someone wants to help and listen to them.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer and his office continue their educational and efforts as well as cracking down on anyone committing a sex crime.

His office was joined by Meghan McAleer and the Saint Francis Counseling Center who want everyone to know they are here to help.
