It certainly has been a crazy year for the NJ Festival of Ballooning.

Late last year, The NJ Festival of Ballooning announced that there would be no festival in 2020 due to the fact that they lost their main sponsorship.

A few months later, in February, We got some exciting news that the festival will take place this summer thanks to their new sponsor, New Jersey Lottery.

The NJ Festival of Ballooning was scheduled to take place on the weekend of July 24th-26th, but now it is being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully the festival is not canceled.

The new dates scheduled for the 38th annual NJ Festival of Ballooning is October 16th-18th at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ. Organizers are calling it "The Fall Classic"

According to their website:

The safety and well-being of our patrons, balloon pilots, concert headliners, partners, vendors, staff and the overall community, are our foremost concern.  While GovernorMurphy hasn’t lifted the public health emergency, we are hopeful that we can come together in the fall to celebrate the magic of hot air ballooning.  So mark October 16 – 18 on your calendar!

Ticket holders will be able to use their tickets, hot air balloon rides, Blue Sky Club memberships, etc. for the new dates in October. On Tuesday, May 26, everyone who has purchased tickets will receive an email detailing the deferral/exchange/refund options. No further action is required by ticket purchasers until they receive that email.
