New Jersey's “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign begins Friday and runs until September 3rd. The state has granted $540,000 in grants to 110 police departments across the state, including Ocean, Monmouth, and Atlantic Counties.

Last summer’s campaign saw police set up 20 DWI checkpoints, leading to 1,196 DWI arrests. They also issued 4,764 speeding violations, 3,194 seat belt violations and 1,490 cell phone or texting violations.

You should NEVER drive drunk, and cops in these local towns will be working overtime to bust those who do:

Ocean County

  • Berkeley
  • Jackson
  • Seaside Heights

Monmouth County

  • Allentown
  • Brielle
  • Eatontown
  • Howell
  • Middletown

Atlantic County

  • Atlantic City
  • Egg Harbor Township
  • Galloway
  • Hamilton
  • Hammonton
  • Mullica
