Brick Police said that 23-year old Tyler Pratt was speeding in a 2019 White Ford F-150 along the westbound lanes of Drum Point Road Saturday night when he crashed into a 2007 Gray Infinity M35 that was trying to turn onto Mandalay Road from Drum Point Road.

Pratt crashed into the Infinity's rear passenger side causing that vehicle to spin and hit a parked and unoccupied vehicle in the Bayside Auto parking lot.

After striking the Infinity, Pratt ended up crashing into several street signs and a utility pole along Drum Point Road which cut it in half bringing the attached power lines along with it to the ground.

Police responding to the call around 8:00 pm found Pratt to be intoxicated and he was subsequently arrested for drunk driving and brought to Ocean Medical Center for injuries to his face.

The occupants of the Infinity, 79-year old Lynnea Prunkl of Brick and 78-year old Fay Novoshelski of Brick, were also brought to Ocean Medical Center for injuries police said were described as pain to their chest, neck and along the right side of their bodies.

The investigation into the DWI crash is being run by Brick Police Traffic Safety Officer Dan Fogarty.
