One Of The Worst Roads In Toms River, NJ Is Getting A Desperate Upgrade

Most of us drive every single day, to and from work or out to the store or to meet up with friends and family.

And when you drive down a road that just treats your car like garbage it gets frustrating.

Especially when you consider that a large portion of road maintenance is funded by our taxes, and we pay a lot of taxes in New Jersey!

I will say, I drive up 37 from Seaside Heights every day to get to work, and that used to be a ride a didn't look forward to.

That was up until a month ago or so when the road was finally milled and paved.

Now, driving over the Mathis bridge and down 37 is a breeze, until you hit every red light along the way!

There's another road that I just can not stand at all in Ocean County, and from what I can tell I'm not the only one.

The reason I can't stand the road is because of the inconsistent patchwork; parts of the road are patched while others are rough and it wreaks havoc on my tires!

That being said, it looks as though this road is getting ready for some serious repairs.

In a press release sent out by Ocean County, a one-mile stretch of this road is getting ready to be paved over from curb to curb!

The work is set to begin tonight (November second) and will take place between the hours of 9 PM and 5 AM, so it shouldn't affect your commute.

What Road In Toms River Is Getting Some Much-Needed Repairs?

According to the Ocean County Press Release, Washington Street in Toms River will have a one-mile stretch milled and paved!

From Haines Road to Lexington Road, crews will be working to pave the road.

The work is expected to be completed in four days.
