Being thankful may mean different things to different people; for some, it may mean being with family while for others it may mean taking time to reflect.

Personally, this last year was incredibly taxing but has left me very grateful.

I married my best friend, we moved to the Jersey Shore, and even in times of economic uncertainty, we're able to put food on the table.

That being said, Thanksgiving this year for some may be a challenge; reports are saying that grocery prices have soared thirteen percent, and getting a full Thanksgiving dinner may be a challenge for some.

That's why seeing something like this is absolutely amazing, and just reminds you that there is good out there in the world.

App.com reports that something amazing is happening at the Presbyterian Church at 1070 Hooper Avenue in Toms River this Friday.

If you're a family in need or know of a family who's been struggling the past few months this is sure to brighten their Thanksgiving even just a little bit.

This Friday (11/18) starting at 9 AM at 1070 Hooper Avenue in Toms River FulFill food bank will be handing out one thousand turkey dinners with all the fixings.

The turkey dinners will be handed out on a first come first serve basis and there is no registration required.

On top of that, every Friday the church hands out what are called 'Crisis Boxes" which contain enough food to feed a family of four for up to six days.

I love seeing things like this happening in our community, and if you want to get involved to help those in need Fulfill's website has a lot of ways you can do that.
