Popular New Jersey Food Store Issues A Massive Recall
With Thanksgiving just in our rearview mirror and the holidays right around the corner food is on the center of everyone's mind.
However, it appears as though one of the most popular food retailers in Jersey has just announced that it's the center of a fairly massive recall affecting several pretty popular products.

Now, when a food recall is issued, it can cause a bit of a stir, however when a store or chain announces a recall it means our systems in place to keep the general public informed are working.
Aldi Announces Massive Recall Affecting New Jersey
New Jersey as well as several other states are seeing the effects of this recall; Arizona, California, Maryland, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Texas, Florida, and Canada are also facing recalls.
The products in question are cantaloupe as well as pineapple which were found to have traces of salmonella leading to 99 cases of illness and sadly two cases of death according to APP.
In addition, there's also a recall for peaches, nectarines, and plums due to the possibility of a listeria outbreak.
Not a great day for fruits.
According to APP, the following products are under the recall.
Sold between Oct. 27 and Oct. 31, 2023
- Individual full cantaloupes
- Cantaloupe chunks in 16 oz. clamshell packages
- Pineapple spears in 16 oz. clamshell packages

If you happen to have purchased any of these products I'd recommend either getting rid of them immediately or trying to take them back to the store for an exchange or a refund.
