There is no shortage of great places around the Jersey Shore to get Donuts.
From OBCOs to Uncle Doods, to the Waretown Bakery, you donuts are a staple in the Jersey food pyramid.

Sometimes, we see sad news like when a popular donut shop decides to close up shop, like the Chubby Unicorn in Bayville.

Other times, we get some pretty good news, like a popular donut chain getting ready to come back to the Jersey Shore for the first time in nearly 20 years!
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Is Opening A New Store Near The Jersey Shore

Krispy Kreme is of course known for its classic glazed donuts, baked hot, fresh, and covered in a sweet delicious glaze.
APP reports that a new Krispy Kreme Factory is getting ready to open off 70 in Lakewood.
These places are pretty slick, one just opened near my parent's house in Pennsylvania, and it has a drive-up window, and a dine-in area and serves up some good donuts.
Krispy Kreme Announces It's Opening In Lakewood, NJ
The new Krispy Kreme Factory will be located at 1900 Route 70 in Lakewood in the Town and Country Shopping Center.
The new donut shop will be taking over the former McDonalds, and will completely redesign the building both inside and out.
Lakewood's Krispy Kreme Factory is planning to open this Fall and like most Krispy Kreme Factories it'll have a drive-up window, and the classic glazed donut waterfall conveyor belt that made the chain famous.
This Is Krispy Kreme's Big Return To The Jersey Shore
Krispy Kreme has a few Jersey locations. Places like Paramus, Jersey City, and East Rutherford, but there hasn't been one near the Shore in almost 20 years.
APP reports that the last time there was a Krispy Kreme in Ocean County was in 2003 in Brick.
That store closed in 2005.
