Ocean Grove’s Historic Ice Cream Parlor Returns
Ocean Grove is a pretty historic part of the Jersey Shore, and for a while, it was home to an ice cream parlor that people would wait in line around the block to order from.
It was more than just an ice cream shop, though; it was known for its comfort food, and as one of Monmouth County's oldest apothecaries, located in a building that was built in the 1890s.
Nagles Apothecary Is Officially Making a Comeback

According to NJ.com, Nagles Apothecary is making a comeback, and it has foodies and ice cream lovers alike very excited.
The new owners are looking to put a focus on the store's comfort food options, with ideas like meatloaf Monday floating around, but admit the true draw of Nagles is, in fact, the ice cream
Renovations Underway With Planned Opening in 2026
Nagles is currently in the middle of the renovation process and is eyeing an opening in the Spring of 2026. Depending on how renovations go, it could be pushed back to an opening closer to Memorial Day.
Historic Charm Will Stay at Nagles
Just because Nagles is getting a facelit doesn't mean that the store will lose its historic feel.

Nagles will keep its classic open-faced sandwiches on the menu, the soda fountain counter, which dates back to the 1940's will remain, and so will the piano that plays on the weekends.
It'll be nice to see a piece of Jersey Shore history come back to life.
