An Ocean Township Police Detective was working a DWI assignment on Route 35 near Carol Avenue on September 6, around 11:00 pm, when his eyes were drawn to a vehicle committing multiple traffic infractions.

The vehicle the Detective then pulled over had several pieces of narcotics paraphernalia all over the place, according to Ocean Township Police.

The driver and passengers were asked to get out of the vehicle.

A search continued and the Detective then found drug paraphernalia, over six ounces of marijuana, Xanax, psilocybin mushrooms and a large amount of cash.

At that point the driver, Rodson Fortune, 23, of Neptune, as well as passengers, Louis Prosper-Junior, 21, Hallandale Beach, Florida and Janissa Almineur, 18, Neptune were all arrested at the scene along with a juvenile and brought to police headquarters in Ocean Township for processing.

Following the arrest, Fortune was charged with Possession of Marijuana over six ounces, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief.

Prosper-Junior was charged with Possession of Marijuana over six ounces, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction.

Almineur was charged with Possession of Marijuana over six ounces, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Fortune was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute pending an initial court appearance, while Louis Prosper-Junior and Janissa Almineur were released on a criminal summons pending their initial court appearance.

The juvenile was charged and then released to a guardian.
