Mountain Lion Born At New Jersey Zoo
The Space Farms Zoo & Museum in North Jersey welcomed a new resident last week: an adorable mountain lion kitten named Juniper!
Juniper was born on September 20th, and according to the NJ Herald is the first mountain lion born at the zoo in 43 years.
Juniper's parents, Renegade and Chippewa, were moved to Space Farm from a zoo in Ohio last year. She's expected to stay in Jersey until at least next year, and owners aren't sure if she'll remain at Space Farm or be sent to another zoo.
My wife has been angling to get a cat - I think a mountain lion would be a nice addition to our house.
