Soon New Jersey Will Have To Pay More For Mega-Millions Tickets
It's not a surprise when you hear that prices are on the rise.
It doesn't really matter what you're buying, odds are it's going to be more expensive now than it was just a few years ago.

Grocery prices are up, the cost of a car is up, the cost of a house is astronomical, and now it looks like the cost of your lottery tickets is going to rise as well!
I love playing the Meg-Millions, especially when the jackpot gets up to an unbelievable level, like seven figures.
Sure, the odds of winning are basically zero, but it's fun to daydream for a few hours about how I'd spend all of those winnings.
Since 2002, the cost of a Mega-Millions ticket has been just $2, but now that price is about to increase by over one hundred percent!

Why Is The Cost Of A Mega-Millions Ticket Increasing In 2025?
Lottery officials are trying to increase the level of excitement around the Mega-Millions.
People like to play more when the jackpot is larger, so by increasing the cost of a ticket, the jackpots will start out bigger, will grow faster, and will increase the excitement level of the game.
ABC reports that lottery officials also say that the increased cost of tickets may also increase the odds of winning the lottery.
I can't imagine it's a substantial increase, instead of 1 in 300 Million it may be 1 in 200 Million, but still, there's a chance.
