Happy birthday to the legendary Jack Bruce, who turns 69 today.

He was born on May 14, 1943, in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland.

A founding member of Cream and a solo artist for decades, Bruce is considered a pioneer on bass, a great composer, and a phenomenal vocalist.

As much as I love Eric Clapton, I always thought Jack Bruce's vocals were the more evocative; to my ear he's a more natural (as well as powerful) singer.

And it's Bruce who can be thanked for songs like "Sunshine of Your Love", White Room" and "I Feel Free", co-written with lyricist Pete Brown.

You have got to check out the video I put up here--and CRANK IT.

You'll recognize who Jack's playing with immediately.  The musical powerhouses of our generation still kick ass, don't they?

Rock on, Jack!!
