In full disclosure since retiring from WOBM at the end of last year I have been working for Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems…and no I don’t make sandwiches. While on the subject of full disclosure I have talked about the “Day of Giving” for the past several years when I had nothing to do with the business.

If ever there was a day to buy a sub and more from Jersey Mike’s then next Wednesday is it.  Not just because they make great sandwiches (which they do) but because March 27th is their annual “Day of Giving” which involves all of their approximately 2,700 locations across the country and is the culmination of the company’s 14th Annual “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign.  All sales (not just profits) next Wednesday will be donated to some 200 charities across the country.  New Jersey stores will donate to the Valerie Fund which supports children with cancer and blood disorders.

Since the inception of this program Jersey Mike’s has raised some than $88 million and that includes a record $21 million donated last year.  Founder/CEO Peter Cancro is expecting to surpass that total and help raise up local communities.  There is a pretty good chance you have seen Cancro in commercials with Danny DeVito recently inviting everyone to participate while enjoying lunch or dinner.

So make your plans to visit one of the 40 locations in Ocean and Monmouth County.  Everything your purchase including hot and cold subs, chips, drinks and catering will be donated and will make a difference.  I’ll use social media to post pictures of my food choice.

On an unrelated note I hope you made if through the first day of the NCAA Basketball Tournament with your bracket intact.  For what it’s worth my Final Four consists of UConn, Houston, Tennessee and Baylor...but watch out for Creighton,  Auburn and even Gonzaga.  In other words, I have no idea.

Pictures: See Inside Luke Bryan's Stunning Beach House

Luke Bryan listed his 4,600-square-foot beach house for sale in December 2022. The stunning Florida mansion includes four bedrooms and bathrooms and comes furnished. The master bedroom overlooks 95 feet of water frontage, but if you don't want to descend all four floors to get there, you can absorb the warmth of the private, heated pool. This Santa Rosa Beach property is on sale for $14.6 million, among the most ever for a country star's house.
