Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Six Flags Great Adventure is rebranding its "FrightFest" Halloween season this year by calling it "HALLOWFEST".

HALLOWFEST will still feature all the Thrills and Chills that Great Adventure provides this time of year starting Friday, September 18th through November 1st.

From 2 p.m to 6 p.m, Six Flags caters to families and kids with Thrills by Day, with the following HALLOWFEST attractions:

  • Scarecrow Street
  • Pumpkin Patch Lane
  • Hay Bale Maze
  • Trick-or-Treat Trail
  • Magic on the Move
  • Cornstalk National Park

Starting at 6 p.m, it's Chills by Night for the big kids with four scare zones, three shows, and three haunted mazes available outdoors in the wide-open midways, plus one indoor haunted maze. (Separate ticket required)

  • Scarecrow Street After Dark
  • District 6 Unearthed
  • Lady of the Lake Cemetery
  • ClownTown

According to a Six Flags Great Adventure press release, here is what is in store for the nightly chills:

The Emergence – When the clock strikes 6 p.m., the theme park takes a creepy turn as haunting sounds fill the air. A horde of ghouls infiltrate the midways, emerging from a different location each night so guests never know where fear will strike;

PrimeEvil Percussion – Driving beats hit the streets in this pulse-pounding percussion show; and

Street Cirque – Spellbinding performers bring their awe-inspiring talents to the midways throughout the heart of the theme park.

Reservations are required to prevent overcrowding, and Six Flags Great Adventure will be following all COVID-19 safety guidelines
