Even though MetLife Stadium is shared by both the Giants and Jets, the Christmas Eve showdown between the two franchises is a home game for Gang Green. Rex Ryan and the Jet brass want to make sure the crowd and atmosphere dictate that.

The home fans are being asked to all wear green, creating what will be dubbed a "Green Out" for the 75,000+ fans. In keeping with the playoff atmosphere that is being hyped up, fans will be given white towels when they enter the stadium that say 'Green It!'

Ryan spoke about trying to re-create the playoff like atmosphere that the fans provided during the final week of the 2009 season, a do-or-die defacto playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Ironically, that game was the final game in the old Giants Stadium. This will be the first game between the two franchises in the new MetLife Stadium.

"I felt like, just feeling the presence of our fans, I never thought anybody could beat us that day," Ryan said.

Don't forget to listen to Jets-Giants while you head to your Christmas Eve gatherings. Kickoff is at 1:05 p.m. right here on 105.7 The Hawk.
