Electric Car Chargers Coming To The Parkway

My coworker noticed a bit of construction at the Forked River rest area on the Garden State Parkway, and a closer inspection revealed the installation of electric car charging stations.

EVgo is America’s largest public electric vehicle fast-charging network. They have three different levels of charging available at their stations. The fastest charge will get your car's battery up to 80% in around 30 minutes, so it's perfect for a stop at the rest area, stretch your legs, use the restroom, grab a bite to eat, and get back to driving.

There are already four EVgo stations at the Jersey Shore Outlets in Tinton Falls, and I'm sure the renovations at the Monmouth Rest Area will include chargers.
