Downtown Toms River Prepares For Protests

UPDATE: The Toms River Police Department marched with protesters through Downtown Toms River on Tuesday, ending at the Ocean County Courthouse for a very peaceful protest. CLICK HERE for images of the event. 

Following the peaceful protests in Asbury Park yesterday, there are plans for a protest in Toms River. While the TRPD is promising to allow a peaceful demonstration while protecting the community, some local businesses are taking precautions just in case things take a negative turn.

I was proud of the way Asbury Park behaved (for the most part (that original post has been updated)), and I'm hopeful that anyone planning to come to Toms River today follows in their steps. If you are making your way, just please, stay peaceful.
