I stumbled upon this today while I was on Facebook.

Car and Driver put together this cool list of the best selling cars in America going back forty years to 1978.

When I graduated in 1989, The Honda Accord was the best selling car in the United States ending Ford's streak of having the best selling car two years in a row.

Toyota Camry dominated US car sales from 2002-2018

According to Car and Driver:

This list does not include trucks or SUVs; the Ford F-150 has been the best-selling overall vehicle and truck in the United States for quite some time, making that roundup less interesting.
