The Halloween lists continue! We started with zombies, then on to thrillers, and this week it's all about the bloodsucking creature of the night, the vampire!

30 Days of Night

Okay, this gets a special spot outside the normal Top 5. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the concept of this, vampires feasting on a town in northern Alaska to take advantage of the lack of sunlight. The setup was great, but the execution was awful. I still dig the idea, and honestly it has become one of those movies I love to hate and love to point out the flaws in, so it gets a "Honorable Mention" for this list.

Interview with the Vampire

It's a classic. Story, acting, visuals, all put together in a great way.

It hasn't aged that great, but it's still fun to revisit.

Hello Kate Beckinsale in a black leather catsuit. If I want to watch vampires battle werewolves, I'm definitely going here rather than Twilight.

Shadow of the Vampire

A fake-umentary about the making of 1922's 'Nosferatu', with an incredible cast of John Malkovich, Willem Dafoe, Carey Elwes, Eddie Izzard, and Udo Kier.

Let the Right One In (Låt den rätte komma in)

A fantastic creepy, atmospheric Swedish movie about a young vampire. Don't worry about the American remake, just watch the original.
