
Former CB Huntingdon’s In Bayville, NJ May Soon Be A Restaurant Again
Change is one of the few constants in New Jersey, especially if you take a ride down one of the state's longest stretches of road, Route 9.
Like the Parkway, you can take Route 9 from North to South, and travel the entire state, granted it'll take a while, but you can do it.

I drive Route 9 every day, getting from my house in Ocean Gate to work in Toms River, and there are businesses constantly opening, closing, and stores coming and going.
New Businesses and Closures Along Route 9 in NJ
Rumor has it that a new strip mall is opening off 9 across the street from Arby's. We've seen the closure of Smokies Craft BBQ, and Senza Cucina has also closed its doors.
What’s Next for the Old Blackbeard’s Cave in Toms River NJ?

One building and plot of land that's been getting a lot of attention over the years is the old Blackbeard's Cave, off Route 9.
It's hard to miss now; a dilapidated eye-sore that reminds us vaguely of a time when it used to be a massive family fun center.
A Look Back at CB Huntingdon and Bill’s BBQ Shack
At one point, it was home to a popular restaurant, CB Huntingdon, and then it was the location of Bill's BBQ Shack. Both of those businesses are long gone, and the building and the property have sat empty for nearly half a decade.
Will Blackbeard’s Cave Property Be Preserved or Redeveloped?
At one point, it was said that the land that was formerly Blackbeard's Cave was going to be preserved, although we haven't heard any new news about that in a while.
It now looks like there's a new future on the table for the restaurant that sits on the land off Route 9 as well.
Possible New Restaurant Coming to Route 9 in Toms River NJ
According to Toms River Online, a meeting is scheduled for September 15th to determine whether the land can be repurposed for restaurant use.
Although there is no word on which restaurant may be opening up, or when this redevelopment will occur, it'll be nice to see something cool open up in the former CB Huntingdons.
