It has been a long time since a new Wawa and Panera Bread were proposed for a spot on Route 70 in Brick - almost three years, believe it or not. The the proposal wa for a 5,585-square-foot Wawa with a 12-fuel pump gasoline station with an overhead canopy, and a 4,813-square-foot restaurant with a drive-through facility.

The lot, just west of Duquesne Boulevard at Route 70, has been cleared of trees, and a sign has gone up confirming that both Wawa and Panera would be "coming soon".

No official timeline has been announced, but you'd assume things would be ready to go by early 2020.
