Beachwood Police Rewarding Kids Wearing Helmets

This week (Monday through Thursday) the Beachwood Police Department are teaming up with the Pine Beach 7-Eleven to reward kids who are safe while biking or skateboarding.

Select officers will have "cool tickets" to give to children wearing approved helmets while riding their bikes or boards.The "cool tickets" are good for one free medium Slurpee at the 7-Eleven in Pine Beach.

The program will run through Thursday August 9th, or while supplies last.

Most importantly, the police are urging parents to NOT have their kids approach patrol vehicles to flag down officers. The police will be on the lookout themselves and will approach the kids.
