If you had told me that any Jersey Shore town featured zero restaurants with a liquor license, I don't think I would have believed you. Bay Head, however, apparently was such a town.

Mayor William W. Curtis said that Charlie's of Bay Head will be the first restaurant in the shore town to have a liquor license.

The restaurant is being built near the intersection of Lake & Bridge Avenues, on the site of the former Shopper’s Wharf, which was demolished after being damaged in Superstorm Sandy. The three-story structure will include bars, indoor and outdoor dining, a wine room and a private party room.

Mayor Curtis said

I think this is going to mean a big revitalization for Bay Head. It’s another place to go for dinner, and it will give a beautiful view over a peaceful lake.”

The restaurant is expected to be completed this summer.
