Jonna is a blogger for beachlust.com and she travels the country looking for what she likes to call "mermaid gifts from the sea."

She had quite the haul when she visited a quaint Ocean County beach.

Finding sea glass on Jersey Shore beaches is not uncommon.

Finding this much in one short visit would be considered rare.

So, if you're looking to fill up that jar of sea glass you have, or start filling a brand new one, Bay Head is the place to start exploring.

Bay Head, located in Ocean County is a peaceful place.

With a year-round population of just about 1,000, it's a town that is largely off the radar. Residents like it that way.

While the breathtaking beach is what draws many to Bay Head, there are some other attractions that welcome visitors to this Jersey Shore gem.

One landmark is the famous pink Grenville Hotel and Restaurant.

The land for The Grenville was purchased in 1886 for $400. The hotel itself dates all the way back to 1890.

The upscale location has a reputation for being haunted. In fact, The Grenville is known as being one of the most haunted hotels in the state.

It is not at all uncommon to have guests report hearing abnormal sounds like children playing at night when there are no children around, for example.

Even though The Grenville is beautiful, it's old news.

The new buzz around Bay Head is that it's apparently a sea glass seeker's dream location. Whether this has been a well-kept secret for a while, I don't know.

But, the cat is out of the bag.
