C'mon man. It took nearly two decades for the American Dream Meadowlands to open, and it's taken about a week to jack up the price of admission into the Nickelodeon Universe theme park.

The mall announced that the current price of admission into the park was a "special preview rate", and prices will go up on November 15th.

The price right now for an all access pass to the park is $49.99. The price for a general access pass, which is for guests under four feet tall, is $39.99.

Starting November 15th, the all access pass will cost $79.99, and general access passes will jump to $59.99.

Parking rates at American Dream start at $3 for the first three hours, and go up to $24 for eight hours.

Yes, this is just the price to get into the theme park part of the mall; it's not going to cost you $40-80 just to go shopping (but you have to pay to park regardless). Still, you're spending almost $30 more to get into this Nickelodeon park than you would for a day-pass to Great Adventure, and actually spending more for one day at Nickelodeon Universe than for an entire season pass at Six Flags.
