The Odds Of New Jersey Surviving An Alien Invasion Are Slim
Whether you believe aliens are like the ones in the Tim Burton cult classic Mars Attacks, or they're more like ET and are super friendly curious creatures, odds are you've thought about whether aliens exist.
Personally, I think extraterrestrials are out there; whether they're highly intelligent beings or just microorganisms that can survive the deepest depths of outer space is still up for debate in my mind.

But if aliens invaded, would you be safe in the Garden State?
There's an online calculator that set out to find that exact answer, and all I can say is I'm happy we at least live on the East Coast, I'll explain why in a moment.
New Jersey IS Not Likely To Survive An Alien Invasion
Now, why an online calculator feels the need to run this scenario is beyond me, maybe it knows something we don't.

However, GIGA Calculator has been running the numbers, and according to Odee, Jeresy did not make the list of the top 10 states that would survive an alien invasion.
However, we aren't too far from the state that's marked as the safest place to be during an alien invasion.
Making the list of safest states during a supposed alien invasion are Alaska, Georgia, New York, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Florida, and coming in at number is Virginia.
Yes, Virginia is apparently the safest place to go if aliens ever invaded Earth, and it's due to its location to prime military installations, and large military population.
Virginia also has a large number of food producers, engineers, and wooded areas all of which somehow contribute to Virginia's survivability during an alien invasion.
Until I see flying saucers, I'll be hanging at the Jersey Shore thank you very much.
