Al Leiter’s Son Throws No-Hitter
Before the New York Yankees picked Al Leiter in the second-round of the draft in 1984, he threw back-to-back no-hitters as a pitcher for Central Regional High School.
On Friday night, Leiter's son Jack pitched his first.
The younger Leiter pitches for the Delbarton Green Wave, the 20th-ranked school in New Jersey. Leiter was facing 5th-ranked Don Bosco Prep, and struck out six while walking two on the way to his no-hitter.
