HAZLET – Detectives from the Hazlet Township Police Department arrested an individual accused of multiple motor vehicle thefts, thefts of property and fraudulent use of credit cards.

26 year old Oleksandr Stadnytskyy of Old Bridge was arrested in connection with an investigation that started over four months ago in November by police.

On November 18th Stadnytskyy is accused of burglarizing multiple vehicles in the Raritan Valley section of the town and stole tools, money, and a computer. It is also alleged that he stole a Hyundai Sonata from a Galloway Drive home.

On January 30th, police say that Stadnytskyy broke into a Nissan Pathfinder and Chevy Silverado on Convent Court and stole money and subsequently stole the Pathfinder. On the same day, Stadnytskyy is accused of fraudulently using a credit card at a Walmart.

On February 4th Stadnytskyy allegedly burglarized an Acura MDX on Kildare Drive, stealing a computer and subsequently driving away with that vehicle.

Stadnytskyy faces a total of 15 charges. Seven burglary charges, five theft charges, and three motor vehicle theft charges.

The Hazlet Township Police Department has made catching the person responsible for these crimes a top priority and thanks all of the victims and witnesses with information that helped the case.

CHARGES ARE MERELY ACCUSATIONS, ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN THE COURT OF LAW.
