Brick is changing rapidly lately, with tons of stores moving out and tons coming in.

The former Cost Cutters location in Riverwalk Plaza on the corner of Brick Boulevard and Hooper Avenue will be the new home of a Lidl supermarket.

Lidl is a German company with 10,000 locations across Europe and the US, including stores in Eatontown and Hazlet, plus one under construction in Lacey and one just announced for Howell.

Brick Mayor John Ducey said

It’s exciting because people definitely wanted more grocery store options and over the next few months we’re going to have two new ones opening. It seems like we’re a hotbed for commercial activity, and I’m glad to see an empty storefront being filled by a quality grocer that’s somewhat new to the United States.
