I don't remember exactly how old I was when I stopped trick-or-treating, but I definitely remember going out with my friends when we were still in high school. Looking back, that was probably a bit old - if you're old enough to get a job, buy your own candy.

Reports were flying around that Upper Deerfield Township in Cumberland County was charging kids over 12 with a misdemeanor for trick-or-treating, but officials are walking things back.

Town administrator Roy Spoltore said there is no such official ordinance, but the township has suggested an age limit for over 30 years. Even that suggestion is rarely enforced.
