[WATCH] Toms River Red Carpet Inn Demolition Underway

Finally!!! Demolition has begun today on the Red Carpet Inn.

For far too long, the motel has been a place that attracted drugs and prostitution and it's about time that it is going way to hopefully improve downtown Toms River.

Toms River Police Chief, Mitch Little sent us these stats today showing us the reduction of crime since the motel was closed by the township

Reduction of crime

• Burgs – 55.6% reduction
• Thefts – 21.7% reduction
• CDS – 53.7% reduction

Officials say the demolition will be done by the end of the month
