Everybody has their favorite town at the Jersey Shore.

It's just a fact; maybe you love the hustle and bustle of Seaside Heights and Asbury Park, or maybe you prefer the laid-back style of places like Avalon, Money Island, or LBI.

Personally I was always a fan of Lavallette.

We'd head there each summer for a week-long vacation with my wife's family and it's always a blast.

However, recently another Jersey Shore town has come to my attention as one of the best there is.

It really is a hidden gem tucked away from it all.

You can spend a day on the beach, enjoying views of the Barnegat Bay while being just steps away from a quaint, small downtown that offers a few shops and places to eat that will leave you wanting more.

It also used to be an old train town, so there's a small train museum and an old train car on display which I always think is neat.

My wife and I love this place so much that we actually recently bought a house there.

Ocean Gate New Jersey really is the hidden gem of the Jersy Shore.

It has a wonderful small-town vibe, with the energy and excitement of the Shore that people love.

Have one nice meal at Rosie's, grab a few drinks at the Anchor Inn, and cap it all off with a walk down the famous mile-long boardwalk, and you too will fall in love with this amazing town!
