You might not instantly recognize the name Gregg Rolie, but he was a founding member of two pivotal classic rock bands, Santana and Journey!

Rolie joined up with Carlos Santana in 1965 to form Santana. He was the original singer and keyboard player, and performed with the band at Woodstock. The cliche "artistic differences" led to his departure. In 1973, he teamed with another former Santana member Neal Schon to create start Journey, where he stayed until 1980.
