A Full Guide To The 2025 Toms River, NJ Halloween Parade
Halloween in Toms River is a little different than in other towns in America, and it takes some getting used to if you're not from here.
Toms River doesn't celebrate Halloween on October 31st; instead, the town does trick-or-treating on October 30th of each year.

Why Toms River Trick-or-Treats on October 30th
The reason for this is that on Halloween night, Toms River is home to one of the largest Halloween parades in the country!
And once again, this year, the streets of Toms River will be flooded with floats, bands, organizations, costumes, music, and fun for the 86th year running.
The History of the Toms River Halloween Parade

The parade is organized by the Toms River Fire Company No. 1, which has been serving the community since 1896, and continues to do so today
And each year, they are the main organizers for this massive Halloween parade, which is so much fun each and every year.
Who Can Join the Toms River Parade
As far as who is in the parade, pretty much any organization is able to register to be a part of this great night.
Registration is a little different this year, though. Instead of being the day of the parade like it has been in years past, this year organizations can register each Tuesday throughout the month of October, starting on October 14th, between 5 and 9 PM.
How to Register for the 2025 Toms River Halloween Parade
You can register your organization at the Toms River Fire Department No. 1 Station, located at 26 Robbins Street in Toms River, right across the street from the Toms River Library.
Toms River, NJ Halloween Parade Date and Rain Date Information
The parade is scheduled for Friday, October 31st this year, but there is a rain date for November 1st. Knock on wood, we won't need it!
The parade kicks off at 7 PM, so you'll want to show up early for a good seat, and if you're in the parade, you'll want to get to your designated start zone well before 7.
Costumes, Floats, and Community Fun
Fun and creativity are highly encouraged, as are your costumes. I know my band, Right On!, will be rocking out on the 105.7 The Hawk float again this year, and I believe we're going with a fun superhero theme.
This is a fun community night, so be sure to come on out in your best costume and enjoy this Toms River tradition.
