Tiffany’s Bar Becoming Tio Juan’s Margaritas
In 2013, the NJ Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control forced the owners of Tiffany's to sell their liquor license for serving alcohol to patrons who were "visibly intoxicated." Tiffany's closed their doors for good in August 2015.
A "Tio Juan’s Margaritas Mexican Restaurant" will open at that spot. This will be their first location in New Jersey, but they have 25 others through Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut.
According to Micromedia Publications, the Toms River Council approved the sale of the liquor license at its March 8 meeting. A construction permit, issued to Garden State Dining LLC in mid-February, included demolition of the interior and plumbing work.
