"Do I have Covid, or is the weather driving my sinuses nuts?"  - Everyone in Ocean County right now.

Anxiety-free seasonal colds and allergies are unfortunately a thing of the past.  Ever since the pandemic began, I can't get through a bad sinus day without going into a Google spiral about Covid-19 symptoms.

It's so not helpful that many of the symptoms for Covid-19 mimic seasonal allergies.  It's also not helpful that the symptoms for Covid vary as the virus mutates.

The weather in New Jersey's been all over the place.  One day it's freezing, the next it's sunny, and then we're back to freezing!  My sinuses have had enough...and so has my anxiety.

How do you manage your health anxiety when you feel these seasonal allergies coming on?  Everyone keeps telling me I need to stay off Google!  When I am truly in doubt of my health, I take a Covid test just to be safe.  But when I'm sure it's allergies, I make sure to keep a mask on when I'm out (because sneezing in other peoples' spaces is gross - how did it take us this long to realize that?) and sanitize myself and my area.

I, like many others, am praying for the day when Covid will be a thing of the past.  It's wreaked so much havoc on our lives!  I can't wait to get back to a normal springtime in Ocean County where I can wake up and say "yes, this definitely is my allergies!"

Happy allergy sneezing (remember to cover your mouth and wash your hands!)
