Writing about the New Jersey food scene is so much fun, and a lot of that has to do with all of the amazing local businesses and restaurants that we have to choose from. What I love seeing is places opening near the shore, or going under massive renovations to improve for the upcoming summer season.

The Jersey Shore Is Seeing Several New Restaurants Opening Soon

In terms of opening soon, the Jersey Shore has a lot to look forward to; Salty Dick's Kitchen and Piano Bar is eyeing a March 2027 opening date in Ortley Beach, and I can't wait for that spot to open. There's also Pelican's Wharf, which is coming soon to Seaside Heights; a place where waterfront views meet elevated dining.

And in terms of places updating to get ready for the summer, one of the Shores' most beloved local pubs has made some big changes, and we've got a little sneak peek.

What's Happening At The Ark Pub In Point Pleasant?

In the past, the Ark has been ranked as having some of the best Mac and Cheese in the state.

And they still do! In fact, everything you know and love about the Ark in Point Pleasant still remains: the same great menu, welcoming atmosphere, and the iconic booths that have been a staple are still there. Upstairs, however, something new is brewing

First Look At The Ark's New Upstairs In Point Pleasant, NJ

Recently, the Ark has been under new management, and after speaking with one of the managers, we have a better idea of some of their big ideas for the beloved restaurant; they're doing some renovations upstairs, which just look amazing.

Be advised, this updated upstairs area is still in the works, but once it's opened, it'll be a great new addition to this classic restaurant.

You'll have the adorable fireplace, cozy bar, and beloved booths downstairs, and this amazing and elevated area upstairs!
