When one door closes, another door opens. That saying is especially true in the restaurant industry.

Recently, Jersey saw the closure of TGI Fridays in locations across the state, and now it appears as though some new life is getting breathed into the casual dining chain.

Well, the buildings are being repurposed at least; TGI Fridays is not.

Former Brick TGI Fridays Becomes Mission BBQ

For example, in Brick, the TGI Friday's that used to be off 70 is being turned into a Mission BBQ.

Toms River TGI Fridays Will Become Tommy’s Tavern and Tap

There's also the TGI Friday's that used to sit off of Hooper Avenue in Toms River.

That old TGI Friday's location is now going to be home to Ocean County's very first Tommy's Tavern and Tap.

And now we're getting news that one of the most popular fast casual steakhouses in the state is getting ready to open a new location, and yes, it's opening in a former TGI Friday's.

Texas Roadhouse may be one of the most popular casual steak chains in the country. When I lived in Central PA for a few years, hosting a morning show, I moonlighted as a waiter for the Texas Roadhouse in State College, and working there was an absolute blast.

New Texas Roadhouse Location Coming to Marlton NJ

Now, the bummer news is that Texas Roadhouse isn't making plans for Ocean County, but rather is getting ready to open a new location in Burlington County.

According to NJ.com, Texas Roadhouse has plans to open a new location in South Jersey in Marlton's Greentree Square Shopping Center.

No world on an exact opening date, but I can assure you, this will be one busy Texas Roadhouse.
