Stones Not Rolling On Tour This Year

The Stones had talked about a 50th anniversary tour this year, but a Rolling Stone magazine article quotes Keith Richards as saying, "Basically, we're not ready.  I have a feeling that (2013 is) more realistic."

The magazine also indicates that some insiders say one reason for the delay is Richard's health, but no details have been revealed.

The Stones might yet mark their anniversary this year with multi-night runs in arenas, and they're currently considering offers.

Keith Richards also says, "The Stones always really considered '63 to be 50 years, because Charlie (Watts) didn't actually join until January.  We look upon 2012 as sort of the year of conception, but the birth is next year."
