There are also inflation refund checks that some Americans may be eligible for, but as far as a fourth round of stimulus checks go, those aren't real, and if you're being contacted about them, odds are you're being scammed.

According to APP, there are claims on social media that stimulus checks in the amounts of $1,390, $1,702, or $2,000 may be provided to Americans via check or direct deposit.

Those claims simply aren't true.

No Official Word from Congress or the IRS

There's no official statement from Congress or the IRS that an extra stimulus check is on the way to Americans, and if you receive a call saying you're qualified for said stimulus check, it's likely fraud, and you need to be careful.

Watch Out for IRS Stimulus Scams in New Jersey

My saying is always this: free money isn't free, and odds are if someone's claiming they're from the IRS offering it to you, it's fraud.

Just be careful out there.
