Drum roll please, for ex-Police member Stewart Copeland, who turns the big 6-0 today, born July 16, 1952 in Alexandria, Virginia.

Best known for his work as the Police's drummer, he's played in other bands (including Animal Logic and Oysterhead) and composed a plethora of movie and television soundtracks, including for Airborne, Talk Radio and Wall Street.

Happy birthday to the master of syncopation!

Check out this old interview of Stewart with video of him playing to African lions, who, like typical critics, attempt to chew him up and spit him out.
